Help Us Build a Skills Training Centre for the Mpika Community

Help us raise K250,000 to establish a practical skills training centre that will create opportunities for people in Mpika District, Muchinga Province.
In Mpika, many people face limited employment and income-generating opportunities. For families struggling to make ends meet, access to a practical skill can make a meaningful difference — providing a pathway towards self-employment, improved household income, and greater economic independence.

That is why we are working to establish a Community Skills Training Centre in Mpika — a place where people can acquire practical, marketable skills that they can use to find employment, start small businesses, support their families, and contribute to the development of their community.
While the centre will serve the wider community, we will place particular focus on young people, women, and vulnerable members of the community who often face greater barriers to employment and economic opportunities.

Starting With Two Practical Skills
The training centre will initially offer:

• Carpentry — providing practical skills in furniture making, woodwork, and related areas, creating opportunities for employment and self-employment.
• Tailoring — equipping participants with skills in garment making and clothing production, with potential pathways into small businesses and income generation.

As the centre grows, we hope to expand the range of skills and training opportunities available to the community.

Our Fundraising Goal: K250,000
We are seeking to raise K250,000.00 to help us establish and prepare the centre for training.
The funds will be used for:

• Purchasing training materials, tools, and equipment
• Paying qualified trainers
• Completing the training centre building
• Preparing a safe and functional learning environment for community members
